2019 Turkey Drive that was co-hosted by the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter and the men of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Epsilon Lambda Chapter. We donated 75 turkeys and accompanying food supplies to families in our community.
This event took place at the fraternity house on Saturday, May 23rd, 2020 from 10am to 2pm. Over 300 families were served.
The virtual walk-run was held in the Hyde Park Area of St. Louis.
Participants did the hybrid walk/run in the St. Louis area and around the Hyde Park area. Proceeds were given for COVID-19 Relief and Scholarships
Saturday morning there was a cleanup at the Amherst Park
The Alpha Mentoring Program and The Village along with the Peace and Progress Organization Hosted the first annual fishing derby in St. Ferdinand Park on Sunday, July 26th, 2020 from 1pm to 4pm. This was a competition to see how many fish the boys can catch. Some caught as many as 30 fish.
The Epsilon Lambda Charitable Foundation met with our award recipient and took photos with him as he received his scholarship that he was awarded for successfully writing his essay.
We held a zoom call and we had trivia on particular logos that were linked to organizations and businesses. We then followed up by having a discussion with author and media personality Seth Miller and discussed his book titled "The Black Collar Mindset"
